London Baby...

That's what my husband said when he heard I'm being sent to London for a project ! Hehehe...Yeap, just found out last week that my boss wanted me to go London to work with our counterparts there, reason being it's easier to work together in the same timezone! Well I don't mind...But then, I found out they want me to go end April which means my husband can't go with me at all. So I wasn't too excited after that, but on Friday my dear boss actually asked me whether I've planned for my second honeymoon, was a bit confused then...what's second honeymoon got to do with my going London...then he asked isn't ur husband going with you to London ? Told my boss, he can't make it in April...then my boss asked what if we push your trip to May ? I was like what ?? really ?? you'll actually do that ?? Then he say, well we try to make the arrangement...And friday night he sms me !! He told me the date is confirmed in May !! Hahaha... I told my parents, sisters and dear friends..they told me how lucky I am to have such understanding boss. Well, I think so too...

the awards season

I really loved watching awards...but that was back in the days when i can't afford to pay for cable television...now i'm really grateful for cable, coz not only do i get a chance to catch the awards, the E! channel also shows pre-show and post-party... Awesomeness !!

Oh, and just in case I forget later...lemme just put down the big winner for this year's 78th Academy Awards :
Best Picture : Crashy (Quite a surprise, everyone thought this will go to Brokeback Mountain)
Best Actor : Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Expected, he basically won any other big awards like Golden Globe, SAG and BAFTA)
Best Actress : Reese Whiterspoon (Again, not a surprise...this was quite expected though if Felicity Huffman would won, then that will be a surprise)
Best Supporting Actor : George Clooney (Yeay for gorgeous Mr. Clooney)
Best Supporting Actress : Rachel Weisz (as expected)

Anyways, the Oscars marks the end of the big awards season, so now we can continue to catch the normal shows on Monday nights...=D

blending into the crowd

sometimes living in singapore is tiring, people look at u twice when u are different, you become unusual and sometimes they will persuade you to join in the crowd...because that is a known situation where things are familiar...

i have been persuaded into doing i have refused to do for the past 2 years...that is to rebond my hair...i know it sounds funny, but i finally give in the hair stylist who always tells me the same thing everytime i go there...basically for girls in singapore it is uncommon to have a frizzy and curly hair, also it is uncommon to have plain-not dyed hair....

and the people in most hair salons think thinner, coloured, rebonded hair always look nice...sigh, dun these people ever learn about diversity ? they should be told that in some part of the world, black curly and a bit frizzy hair can be normal !
